B9Lab Creating Education Program to Certify 1000 Ethereum Developers

B9Lab has announced the creation of the Community Blockstars Program. They plan to certify 1,000 Ethereum developers during two five month processes, the first starting today (January 31st) and ending June 29th and the second starting in October. B9Labs already claims to be the largest blockchain education resource on the internet. They claim to have over 4,000 students in over 160 countries.

There really aren’t a lot of trusted resources out there for blockchain education and certification. Most of the stuff you find online focuses on how to day trade bitcoin and altcoins for profit and not how to develop applications utilizing the blockchain.

The Community Blockstars Program is designed to fit that by accepting students of all backgrounds and skill levels and turning them into bonafide Ethereum developers.

250 of the 500 seats will be funded by B9Labs while the other 250 will be funded by community partners. The program includes a selection process, developer course, a final project submission and the certification issuance. Each phase takes about a month.

In a press release emailed to CoinJournal Damien Ducourty, co-founder of B9lab, said “We are thrilled to be working with the community to further blockchain education as we are going to see the technology impact a wide variety of industries. We’ve witnessed an increasing demand for jobs in the space over the last few years, and we are excited to be training the next generation of developers and entrepreneurs.”

Any organization or individual can apply to be a community partner and sponsor the 250 open seats in each set of education programs. Doing so will help the entire crytpo-community to grow. As important things like regulation, ETFs and forks are, the most important thing is that crypto becomes more usable and useful. That only accelerates with the onboarding of new developers through education.

“It’s important for us to give back, and our mission with Blockstars is that it will empower the blockchain community and allow people from all walks of life to contribute to the development of, and participation in, the technology.” Elias Haase, another co-founder of B9lab, said “The beauty of the programme is that people of all ages, locations, professions and cultures can apply, which will ultimately help diversify the industry, creating a community that is open and inclusive.”

B9Lab is also looking for Community members to be a part of the learning process by donating their time and expertise. For more information on the program, or to apply, visit their website B9lab.com or email [email protected].
